BEAC RESPONSIBLE CARE®
Since 1988, Responsible Care® (RC) has been recognized as one of the most successful EH&S and security initiatives. The American Chemistry Council (ACC) has signed memorandum of understanding giving BEAC an oversight role in implementing ACC's Responsible Care third-party certification requirements and to play an integral role in certifying ACC Responsible Care auditors, approving RCMS® Audit Service Providers, and recognizing Responsible Care® Training Course Providers. In 2008, the Technical Oversight Board of the ACC recommended updates to the technical specifications. The updates are to be phased in, as per the following announcements:
RC® Auditor Qualfication Criteria * RC® Auditor Procedures * RC® Auditor Application Individuals seeking certification as a Responsible Care® Auditor from either BEAC or RABQSA are required to meet the requirements as defined in the American Chemistry Council’s Responsible Care® Certification Auditor Qualification andTraining Requirements (RC205.03). RC205.03 is available at www.responsiblecaretoolkit.com. One of the required elements necessary to obtain certification is the successful passing of an auditor examination. Under an agreement between ACC, BEAC, and RABQSA, all applicants seeking certification will be required to take the BEAC RC® Auditor examination.
